Research was conducted during the past year based on three sources and data of Directorate for the Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions in 10 Commissioner offices, Misdemeanor courts in Kraljevo, Niš, Vranje, Valjevo and Negotin but also on the basis of the answer which 18 commissioners gave in the questionnaire in three regions, eastern, southern and western Serbia.
Round tables on alternative sanctions were held in Belgrade, Nis, Negotin, Valjevo, Vranje and Novi Pazar. The organization of the round tables was supported by Civil Rights Defenders within the project "Support to the Implementation of alternative sanctions and measures in the Republic of Serbia " and is enabled by the The Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency Sida.
